Ask Me Anything is a thing. The question is: Is it worth anything? Let’s get into it.
Ask Me Anything is a semi-popular query of celebrities, or people who wanna be more known for who they are. However, I wonder if the answers are truthful? Moreover if they’d change over time?
So, I’ve made a list of questions I think would be useful. Let’s see what happens, shall we?
Fourteen Questions:

Do you believe in life after death?
2. Is it possible to die of a broken heart?
3. Do you have a favorite athlete?
4. How about a favorite actor?
5. Who do you admire most? Living or dead.
6. What was the best day of your life?
7. What five books do you wish everyone would read?
8. Which are your five favorite movies? Of all time.
9. How much money would you need to feel secure?
10. Who / What would your perfect partner be / have?

11. What would your perfect day be like?
12. Do you believe you are entitled to be happy?
13. What are you most afraid of?
14. What were your last five searches?
Answers
tell us what? How about the questions I asked? They tell you something of who I am. Don’t they? Which is why therapists ask open-ended questions. Such as: “What’s going on?” Or, “How are you?” Additionally, use tests like the Rorschach or Thematic Apperception Test. The therapist is probing your conscious and unconscious mind so as to get around your resistance to being honest.
I’ll answer number 14 because that’s easy.
- NBA Playoffs
- Blue Bloods
- Bridget Moynahan
- Outer Range
- How to cook salmon
In Conclusion
I’d say “Ask Me Anything” is mostly bs. In other words, I call bullshit. Because, likely as not, the answers will be filtered. Because the subject has an agenda. Which is to appear to be that- that they want to be rather than what, or who, they are.
After all, more so than ever before, “All the world’s a stage.”
Let’s try this: Answer any or all of the questions, and put them away. Then wait, days, months, years, and answer them again. The same? Different? In the ballpark? Of course, the answer to #14 will change. Hour by hour.
Is the query just a snapshot in time? Is it worth anything?
Maybe that’s a shrink question? 🙂
You know…I never really got into the “AMA” stuff that celebs and content minions admire. Most of the time my initial response was, I frankly don’t care because I really don’t care about getting to know that person better. But I would agree with you, a lot of the times you’re not getting a true answer…you’re getting PR answer, which is the same as no answer!
“you’re getting PR answer, which is the same as no answer!” Worse, I think. Because it’s a lie–which increases one’s distress. At least for me. Being lied to with a straight face is something that really bothers me.
Wasn’t there a song?
