Lost On Planet Earth

We (humans) are now Lost on planet earth. That, readers, is my summation of where we find ourselves today regarding whether or not we will survive. Furthermore, unlike myself in the video – we don’t have a compass. Oh sure, we have our phones, equipped with a GPS app that can tell us where we are located on the planet. However, that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about Lost as to our identity as to WHO and WHAT we are. As individuals and collectively. In psychological jargon – we have become dissociated. Or, disintegrated. Moreover, disconnected. Talk about irony.

What was it we were promised? Over and over again? with each new technological advance. Progress towards happiness and contentment? Let’s talk about it.

Animal, Machine, or Devine

In the just published book, End Times Fascism, the authors argue that Donald Trump is a useful idiot for three authoritarian (fascist) groups. These groups are voting blocks in the US and constitute Trump’s base. Moreover, if not defeated in the next election by the Democrat’s candidate, will destroy the peopled-world. And they are fine with that! Is this crazy? Or are the authors on to something?

The Three Groups Are:

1. Ethno-nationalists
2. Techno-optimist capitalists
3. Christian conservatives

Another way to categorize them would be:

1. White racist NAZI animals
2. Capitalist greedy geeks
3. Bible thumping zealots

Put them in a basket. Of? Deplorables. Clinging to their guns and religion.*

What do they have in common?

They all believe they can survive the Apocalypse, or End Times. Additionally, that Donald Trump’s candidate,  be it J.D. Vance, Marco Rubio, or whomever – will follow willfully in his stead. Therefore assuring their survival in the space/world that follows the Apocalypse. They’ll be fine.

Briefly.  Group one thinks it can survive by force and will (= guns). Group two thinks it can survive via technology (= Artificial Intelligence/machines). Be that  because they can leave the planet, or that they are so smart, and have the resources (= money). In other words – are so superior to most others that they and their machines can figure it out. The third group believes the Bible literally ( = Jesus returns to earth and takes them up into Heaven).

Ghosts, Unicorns, or Karma.

The solution to the coming End Times Fascism is a triad of ghosts, unicorns, or karma. Also known as  “Peace, Love, and Understanding.” Or, the “High Ground”.*

You must vote “Blue no matter who” to prevent the coming Apocalypse,

Obviously, I found my way home and became un-lost. Did I use my compass? No, I did not. Did I know where I was? not really. Did I know who I was? Yes. A strong man.

I used common sense (a human trait); and a will to survive (an animal instinct).

What I did was head downhill. Whenever possible. Until I came to running water. Then I followed that downstream. Following water downstream will eventually lead to civilization.

In this case – the trailhead where my car was parked. It was scary, as nightfall was approaching. Moreover, I was in the wilderness, lost without food or water. Some people don’t make it out.

And those people mostly believe in ghosts, unicorns, and karma.

In Conclusion.

In conclusion – I’m not telling you who to vote for in the upcoming elections. What I am saying is that when you’re lost on planet earth – use your head and your instincts.

God, guns, machines, ghosts, unicorns, or karma ain’t gonna save you.

Have you ever been lost in the wild? It’s happened to me more than once. However, that’s never stopped me from going again. Until now. I’m just too damn old.
