Summer Nights

It’s officially summer, as of last Sunday, so I thought this short video apropos. Have summer nights changed? All things considered. I made it back in the summer of 2009. Which, I can make the case for as the best of my life. (That might be worthy of blog–tier ranking summers.)

Then and Now

is interesting, too. Then, I was living in Laporte, Colorado  (#8 in my tier ranking of my homes.) which is not that far from where I am now–Loveland, Colorado. However, some things seem quite different. The weather, for one.

I call the summer of 2009 The Summer of Rainbows. Which is evident in the video. Thunderstorms and rainbows were a constant. Additionally, it seemed to be much cooler, then. The Laporte apartment had AC; however I never turned it on. In fact, I hung a curtain over the window unit.

Now, 17 years later and just 20 miles south, I’ve yet to see a rainbow. Moreover, it is so damn hot! And, my apartment has no AC. The inside temp approaches 90 degrees. So I bought a fan. Which makes sitting inside watching my smart TV bearable. Then, I didn’t watch TV. Furthermore, there were no smart phones.

Changes

are so prolific as to be worthy of a book! But, what about the weather? Just last Thursday there was a rainstorm in an old habitat of mine that resulted in flooding. (Evergreen and Bear Creek)

This has been going on forever. Moreover, has been exploited by people seeking power and control.

My Question Is
